John Paul Hoy left Henley College with a level three qualification in beauty in 2008 and then returned in 2013 to complete his A1 Assessors award. He has worked in many spas since leaving college but has now worked for Dermalogica for over 5 years and has progressed into management.
John says “My position is Corporate Consumer Assessor, which means I travel the whole of Britain and Ireland. The position is varied and each day is very different, one day I will be teaching therapists in a training centre or in location and another day i'm on a platform with a microphone educating consumers and managing the assessment process within Dermalogica consumer UK.

Henley beauty learners receive specialist training from The International Institute for Anti-Ageing
Henley College has recently become a stockist of jane iredale pure mineral make-up from The International Institute for Anti-Ageing (iiaa). We are the only college in the local area to stock the products along with thousands of premier salons and beauty centres in the UK.
Henley College’s Theatrical Media Makeup learners come second and third in National PMA (Professional Makeup Academy) Student Artists Competition.

Cleopatra Costea came to England from Romania when she was 14 and she couldn’t speak any English. She had always had a passion for beauty therapy and she says “I was only ever allowed to paint my nails in the school holidays and that made me more determined than ever to make it my career!
