Sarah progresses to a full time job thanks to childcare course at Henley
Sarah Worrall attended one of the College open evenings to find out about a career in childcare. The tutors explained the course structure and Sarah was particularly keen on the work placement opportunity that the course offered as part of the curriculum. Sarah wanted a placement to gain hands on experience, as when she was in year 10, she did some work experience and really enjoyed it, and this is when she decided the childcare career path was for her.
Nathan started on a level 2 course in childcare and through hard work and commitment he developed the skills he needed to gain an apprenticeship in childcare at St Peter and St Paul’s school and he is now currently working full time.
His tutor said “Nathan always worked hard and had childrens’ education at the heart of everything he did. Nathan is an excellent role model for males who are interested in working in childcare or education and I am very proud of him”.
Hannah started with Henley College on a level 2 childcare course and progressed to the level 3 extended diploma. She is now at university studying for a degree in special needs.
Her tutor said “Hannah is a highly motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic student who has always wanted to work with special needs children from the day she started on the level 1 course and I am delighted she is achieving her ambition”
